Over 200 Alumni & Friends gathered in Houston, TX on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 for a Reception at Irma's Southwestern Grill and to watch the Astros take on the Rangers at Minute Maid Park. (See photos here)

Humble High School’s Jeffery Allen Logan was awarded the first Winnie Laurene Ragsdale Scholarship by the endowment’s namesake during the HHS annual alumni banquet on June 14.

Established by John R. Ragsdale in honor of his mother, the Winnie Laurene Ragsdale Scholarship Endowment will provide a $5,000 scholarship for an SHSU student from the Humble area.

John Ragsdale recently donated $1.25 million to three different university programs benefiting former, current and prospective students. One million dollars was used to establish the John R. Ragsdale Alumni Enrichment Endowment Fund to support the work of the Office of Alumni Relations.
