BA, BFA Auditions

 

The date for audition is:
February 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.

Students are required to audition for admission into the Dance Program.

  

The audition format is a ballet class followed by an abbreviated modern dance class, and concludes with either a movement improvisation exercise or jazz combination. Please allow three to four hours for the full audition. Dancers should wear solid colored leotard, tights and ballet slippers. No prints on body wear and no baggy outer wear (i.e. no sweat pants or tops) should be worn for the audition. The modern dance phrase will be danced barefoot.

MFA Auditions

 

The date for audition is:
February 7, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.

Students are required to audition for admission into the Dance Program.

  

The audition format is a ballet class followed by an abbreviated modern dance class, and continues with either a movement improvisation exercise or jazz combination. MFA applicants are expected to show a brief chorographic solo and the audition process concludes with an interview with dance faculty. Please allow four to five hours for the full audition. Dancers should wear solid colored leotard, tights and ballet slippers. No prints on body wear and no baggy outer wear (i.e. no sweat pants or tops) should be worn for the audition. The modern dance phrase will be danced barefoot.
