DEADLINES FOR GRADUATION Fall 2008  

GRADUATE PROGRAM
COLLEGE OF HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES

September 29th
Last day to submit approved Thesis/Dissertation Prospectus for a Fall Semester 2008 Thesis/Dissertation to the Dean's Office.  

October 10th

Submit draft thesis/dissertation (at least one full chapter) to Library for format and style review.

November 7th
Last day for Thesis/Dissertation Defense.   Report of Thesis/Dissertation Examination form must be signed and submitted to the CHSS Dean's Office by 5:00 p.m..

November 14th               
Last day to apply for the CHSS graduate scholarship.

November 19th               
Last day to submit approved Thesis/Dissertation to the CHSS Dean's Office for review and signature. Signed abstract and title page should be on bonded paper.  Submit Route Sheet.

November 21st
Last day to submit final thesis/dissertation (defended and signed) and Route Sheet to the Director of the Library.

November 25th

Last day to make all final copies of thesis/dissertation and submit to the Library for binding.  Last day to submit Route Sheet to the Dean of Graduate Studies.

December 1st

Last day to complete the Oral/Written Comprehensive Exams.  Report of Comprehensive Examination Form must be signed and submitted to the CHSS Dean’s Office by 5:00 p.m.

December 20th

Commencement (Tentative)

December 19th
All requirements for graduation (including grades) must be completed and processed through the Registrar's Office by 9:00 AM.

Other Fall Deadlines:

October 15th
Applications for Spring Semester 2007 graduate programs due for international students.

November 10th
Deadline for CHSS Graduate Scholarship applications for Spring Semester 2007
